In a project lead by Dr. Martin Opio, in Kitovu Hospital, Masaka Uganda, we are currently demonstrating that the use of LevMed ECG Belts allows the performance of an ECG at least daily on every patient.
The time and expense of obtaining frequent ECGs is a major impediment to their use as a prognostic or monitoring tool in developing countries.
The lack of qualified and experienced personnel is another obstacle.
